I'm reading a new book series. It's called A Series of Unfortunate Events. They are great books! They're about three children who get in a lot of trouble while trying to solve the mysteries that surround them. There are thirteen chapters in every book and there are thirteen books. They are by Lemony Snicket. If you read these books you have to read them in order because every book goes with the last. I'm already on the eleventh book! The books are sad but very exciting. They have so much detail. When I read them I feel like I'm in the book. I also really want to read the next one. If you read these books I hope you like them. I know I do.
On my first post I said I liked to paint things. I don't paint every single day. I don't have enough canvas's for that! My grandma paints too. I paint with achrylics. That is what the paints are called. I like to paint because it is fun to see what your work looks like in the end. Every time I paint I think I improve on the painting that I did. I mean it looks better than the last painting I did. Enjoy this post about my paintings.
A few nights ago I had something called Family Night at school. Family Night is when the whole entire second grade goes to the M.P.R./ multi purpose room. We sing songs about families. We also recite poems about families. Our principal Mr. Demielio read a story called Thundercake. Then I got to eat thundercake. It was delicious! Here is a video of Family Night.
At school I did a Christopher Columbus play! It was very fun. I was Christopher Columbus. My entire class was in it. It was in a second grade classroom. My mom and brothers, Charlie and Louis were there. There was an indian chief, indians, sailors, and Queen Isabella, and King Ferdinan, a narator, and me. Here are some pictures of it.
Back in September, my family and I went to the LA County fair. The best part was that I got to bring my best friend, Corrina. We got to stand next to a giant tree trunk, ride the farris wheel, pretend to be fire fighters, and sled in man-made snow! We also went to a cool museum about inscects and children's art. Corrina and I have been friends since kindergarten. After the fair, we got to have a sleep over. We both had a great time! I hope you like this post.
I go to Charter Oaks gymnastics class every Thursday. There was a coloring contest. I was doubting that I would win, but then, I WON!! I was really happy! The prize was going to the sleep over at the gym with all the gymnasts last weekend, but I didn't go because I had to do something else that night. Everyone else had to pay $65 to go to it, but it would've been free for me. Here is a photo of my winning picture:

Hi,my name is Ella. I live with my family. A cool thing about me is I am the only girl in my family. I'm in the second grade. I like to read. That's what I do in my spare time. I have three brothers and a great mom and dad. They are all fun to play with. Also in my spare time, I do artwork. I paint with acryllics and watercolors.
